Found the local Christmas market in my neighborhood in Prague rather than the famous ones in Old Town Square and it was a completely different experience. Smaller, quieter, mostly locals, and the food was better and cheaper. Had svarak (mulled wine), trdelnik fresh off the fire, and a bowl of goulash that warmed me from the inside out. Chatted with the woman selling handmade ornaments for twenty minutes. This is the Christmas market experience I was looking for.
